Woman To Woman: Purposeful Networking & Book Signing
This is a forum that will have expert women panelist discuss health, sisterhood, sex, success, and relationships. The topics will range from, were are we as women in regards to health and stress, what is sisterhood, what are the components of a good women’s group, what you didn’t know about sex and what you should know about sexuality, the price of success as a woman who is single, and how successful married woman manage work and home life.
The highlight of the forum will be Book Signing of The VOW! and discussion with Mitzi Miller. Adding to her accomplishments are Ms. Miller’s consecutive book deals. The first book, The Angry Black Woman’s Guide to Life (Plume/ Dutton) was released in April 2004 to rave reviews in The New York Times, Boston Globe and Newsweek Magazine. Her second book, The Vow (Harper Collins) was released in October 2005 and also met with outstanding reviews in The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Essence Magazine, Glamour Magazine, excerpted in the March 2006 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, as well as being earning a coveted spot on the Essence Magazine Bestseller List. Most recently, Ms. Miller recently signed a three-book deal with Scholastic Inc. The first of the African American teen book series will be published in the spring of 2007.In addition to several reoccurring appearances on VH1’s list shows including Best Week Ever, she has appeared on ABC’s top rated morning show, Good Morning America and performed in the 2006 annual benefit production of Eve Ensler’s award winning stage play, The Vagina Monologue at the Apollo Theater.
